CDA Young Dancer's Intensive – LIVE!
3-week session: July 5th - July 23rd
Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
A half day program for yound dancers, approximately ages 8-11, who are passionate about dancing, who whish to improve their skills and explore their potential. Now there is an intensive program to provide summer challenges and opportunity for increasing artistry, creativity and technical ability

CDA provides one of the few intensive studies of this kind and caliber for younger dancers ages 8-11 and is one of our most popular summer programs. Not to be missed!
Featuring the curriculum and methods which have established California DanceArts as a premier academy of dancing.
Each student will receive personalized attention to ensure that students understand the concepts and instruction that are given. Our expert instructors from our faculty provide young talented dancers with the highest caliber of training and skills needed to achieves their dreams.
Our Summer Intensive program provides new challenges and opportunities for increasing technical and performance ability and is not to be missed by young dancers with aspirations and purpose. It is an equally important program for the potentially career focused dancer.
Curriculum based on a solid foundation of Classical & Contemporary Ballet.
Light Conditioning & Stretch Classes for improved flexibility and strength
Dance Essentials™ taught for enhancing creativity, developing young choreographers, developing musicality, and more!
Creative methods to keep students excited about learning.
Mixed media such as ballet-related projects and crafts to enhance learning experience.
Students are required to audition for the California DanceArts
Audition classes are held on Saturdays in person and via Zoom.
All in person, auditions require participants to wear a mask and
remain socially distanced from others.
Qualifications & Auditions
Students must audition for program placement by attending an audition class. Students from California DanceArts level 1-2 may enroll without an audition. We accept dancers based on a common level of ability. Most students at Division I are ages 8-11 and have already had years of ballet training.
Please note that this is a physically demanding program and student must be able to work intensively for the 3 and a half hour program (with breaks) of classes, choreography, and rehearsals.

During the audition, your qualifications for acceptance will be determined. All those wishing to participate must audition in person, over zoom, or by sending Photo/ Video Submissions. Dancers who have attended our intensive program in the past or are current students at California DanceArts gain first placement when enrolled by March 16th.
Audition Class Attire
Ladies please wear proper ballet attire, hair up and off the face, and technique slippers. Bring Pointe shoes (as appropriate).
Men please wear clean white shirt, dance pants or tights, and ballet slippers.

We do accept photo/video submissions from students that are from a distance or students with sufficient circumstances prohibiting attendance in person. Contact us for submission reservations.
Accommodations for out of town students must be reserved as soon as possible so we appreciate early submissions.

Please submit your dance photo or DVD with a short list of skills and training.
DVD / Video: 10 minutes (maximum) showing work at the barre and center.
Entire video should be performed en Pointe (as appropriate).
