Career Preparatory Training Program

This program is designed to fulfill the artistic needs of serious dancers who desire opportunities to perform at the highest caliber. The program consists of daily dedicated training in Classical Ballet with additional classes in Modern dance, Jazz dance, supplementary MPT, Conditioning and Dance Essentials TM. Dancers in this program are expected to attend CDA summer intensive programs workshops through-out the year which feature guest teachers and intenisve study. Dancers are expected to work with other serious dancers and professionals, directors and choreographers by participation and rehearsals in California Theatrical Youth Ballet, which provides performance opportunites that realistically duplicate the experience of a professional dance company. Students in the Career PreparatoryTraining Program are given preparation assistance and guidence toward auditions at the international level and placement for major dance company and college programs. Acceptance into the program is by auditon or invitation.

By utilizing traditional, contemporary and new training methods, our goal is the facilitation of technical excellence and maximum potential; resulting in a performance level where the dancer can consistently reach beyond this technical standard to perform effortlessly with full artistic expression. Our Career Preparatory Training Program advances students closer to this ideal.

The progam is lead by Director Erin Holt and Assistant Director Yehuda Maor, using expert knowledge of what is expected from young dancers as they enter the international dance scene. By mentoring students and creating a balance of artistry and technical excellence, Ms. Holt and her faculty assist dancers as they make their own assent toward a professional dance career.
