Jamie Nichols

Executive Producer Jamie Nichols was the Artistic Director and founder of the Pasadena based contemporary dance company Fast Feet for 23 years. Until retiring her dance company in 2003 she self-produced her work in festivals and venues throughout California.

A passionate and technically articulate teacher, critically acclaimed for the emotional intensity and eloquence of her dancing and choreography, she taught dance & movement professionally in Los Angeles since 1978.

Ms. Nichols is the marketing director, fundraiser, press contact and sole producer of Celebrate Dance http://www.celebratedance.org. She has been the recipient of five Lester Horton Dance Awards. She became the recipient of the 2007 and 2010 Lester Horton Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Producing a Festival or Series for the 2006 and 2009 productions of Celebrate Dance.

She has also produced: modern dance icon Marion Scottï's "Spirit Dances 10" at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, the fabulously successful 16th Annual Lester Horton Dance Awards (the "Academy Awards" of California Concert Dance), Co-Produced The Los Angeles Dance Invitational-A Tribute To Stanley Holden and Co-Produced with Theater Bethune, Ray Bradbury’sFROST and FIRE at the Alex Theatre in 2007.
